I AM NOT A BAD BRAIN, I AM A PIZZA BRAIN

I made my way up Frankford Street to go see if I could find this PIZZA BRAIN http://www.pizzabrain.org joint.  Sure enough, just as Andy had said, it was right next door to LITTLE BABIES ICE CREAM.  Seeing as Little Babies was my original destination, and they would not be open until 12:00pm, and it was now about 11:15am, I decided to try out some, Pizza Brain and see what all the fuss was about.  I had a slice of their Bernie Templeton which is a white pizza with sharp white cheddar cheese, mozzarella, fingerling potato slices, garlic, goat cheese, fresh rosemary, black pepper, scallion and smoked bacon.  YUM!  Mind you, I just had breakfast about an hour ago so I wasn’t even that hungry.  I at ALL of it, done to the crust and asked for another slice.  The second slice was a Forbes Waggensense.  It’s a red pizza with mozzarella, fontina, grana padana, fresh basil and smoked pepperoni.  The Waggensense was even better than the Templeton.  I LOVE Pizza Brain!
Did I mention that PIZZA BRAIN is also a living museum with pizza memorabilia EVERYWHERE?  Even the floors?  I have to thank Andy again for chatting me up outside of Bicycle Stable and to his co-workers, Tony, who was making the pizzas and Deirdre who was working the register.  Thank-you all for you kindness and hospitality and for treating me to some mighty fine pizza in Fishtown.  Looking forward to my return visit to Philly, and a pit stop at PIZZA BRAIN.
